I been working on building a directory using XOWW.com and now I have someone interested in just the name. My question; Is it possible to get listings removed or listings changed at places like Directory Critic and VMOptions?

I could rebrand with another and honestly better name. It is that I hate having bad links in the directories (including this one) as it reflects badly on me.

Why bother? Sooner or later someone will report bad link and site owner will remove it, that is if he care.

To be honest, Directory Critic has dozens of bad links and I don't know if your report will do any good at all.

Directory Critic does have a reporting option, so that's really as much as you can do.

I'm not sure on VMO. Who owns it?

Really? Was there are a reason given?

Cos someone recommending VMO on DP the other day, and I went and looked and there was like a full page of *.info junk directories on the front page. I haven't looked at the rest of their list to be honest, but seeing all those bad directories on the front page speaks for itself IMO.

Actually, he removed AMRAY from his list after he was told that his description and information about site is not up to date and when he fail to correct the info and managed to ignore 3 requests, our webmaster asked him to remove AMRAY from his list.

Here is another genius from web-directories.ws who thinks that Submission Guidelines was written for ‘low life sites owners’ and not applicable to him at all. He posted on his site this review about AMRAY: Not recommended - Too many submissions are rejected. An excessive amount of confusing guidelines. The time required to make a successful submission cannot be justified. after our Editors rejected his site because he has managed to violate 4 of 6 guideline’s stipulations.

So boys and girls, if you are going to reject ignorant idiots who are mercilessly spamming you, then you better make sure you have thick skin and clear mind or you will be slammed with accusation that you refuse to add to your index site owners who are to stupid to understand what Read and Follow Submission Guidelines means.
