Yup, c'est moi again, with another question, which, hopefully, could lead to a discussion. Simple question: how much to ask for a front page link, considering there is no adsense, whatsoever, just plain, checked, links (the link on the front page will also be checked offcourse). I myself was thinking about monthly payments, but what amount? 10 euro's a month?
My thoughts exactly. My frontpage receives most traffic, but certain categories have theer share too. If someone want to have a link on the front that's fine with me, but how much to go for?
It depends on the niche of your directory. If it's a general one, a link on the front page might be mainly about PR rather than targeted traffic. If it's niche you have to look at the rest of the text on the front page, and decide from that what sort of visitors you will be attracting from search, as well as your other marketing efforts.
