Bogus Search Traffic
We get boat loads of traffic similar to the logfile entry below (i deleted the http: slash slash so it won't be a link here). Notice it appears to be from Microsoft's search engine. However there are two problems:
1) the url is actually not a correct referral url for search.live.com
2) if you actually search on search.live.com for the phrase shown it is not in the results.
Now, most of these are for various drug names, but also include various "enlargement" stuff, and car brands among other things.
This would seem to be a pretty normal kinda thing to find... but not with an IP address assigned to Microsoft. These come from various IPs but always in that c-block.
Anyone else getting this stuff?
