Default LinkedIn Name Question

Should an entity like Info Vilesilencer be listed under my personal name, or under the business name? or both?

I can do the personal name, no worries, but I'm more interested in getting the company name "connected".

Thoughts?

The humble beginning of the profile

Looks like the email address I was getting "requests" to, were contacted by others via LinkedIn, hence the 16 connections...

Good question. I lean more toward using your business name since I imagine you would be using it for building brand awareness. I have to admit I am not very savvy when it come to social media. I have a personal Facebook page and a personal Twitter account but I really don't know how to use them effectively to connect to other people to build a business presence. My directories have a Twitter button on the detail pages and I occasionally use it but it seems sort of "cheesy-spammy" to me using it that way.

You are in luck! I just made this not long ago

How to find websites to add to a web directory

It can also help you in how to use twitter. Think of it as a way to chat with site owners in mini conversations. Using twitter for a directory is not the easiest but it can be done.

Let me know if this helped you and what I can do to better explain. (example: video, writing etc.)

Make your name a brand along with your business name. Business name following your name is best .

I've changed the LinkedIN profile to reflect my name and expertise, and just tagged Info Vilesilencer as belonging to that.

The reason I've decided to do that is I am associating other profiles with my name too (Google+) so I feel like it is a more intuitive connection between these entities.

Profile Changed to: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/dan-paris/56/811/a21

I'm looking to connect with more of you, so feel free to send a connect/invite my way
