The vertextile.net home improvement directory offers both free (recip.) links as well as paid listings. Prices for their paid listings ranges from $1 for 30 days to $6 for a 5 month listing. According to the directory statistics listed on the home page the directory includes 131 links across 82 categories. The site lists 45 registered users and 38 unique outgoing hits. At the time of this review there was 1 person listed as being on the site which was presumably myself.
According to the Google toolbar the index page of vertextile.net has a page rank of 0, with many of the category pages showing a gray bar (not ranked) page rank. It appears that the 0 page rank is not due to Black Hat SEO or unscrupulous practices but is likely due to the inactivity of the directory. According to GoDaddy.com the site was created in 2009, which matches the copyright date on the home page. Ironically however, the site has no back-links, per the Google toolbar.
It is my opinion that this is not a worthwhile directory to submit your site to. Granted they are a niche directory, this directory has not really come into its own, so to speak.- User: dflick
