    It says “All directories are 100% free…” at the bottom but going through the list, I hit the second one down (botw) one and they CHARGE $75. So, with that being said, I’d maybe change that statement as it made you lose a little credibility in my mind. Take care, and thank you.

    @Rick,

    The original post is more than 6 months old so some of the directories may have converted to pay for inclusion models. Regardless of that, BOTW Blogs actually has a free option, so you are mistaken there. Only the 3-day express option costs $75 - So with that in mind I won’t be changing the statement, the directory is free.

    @Mike Duff: The posting is nearly a year old, so you would have to expect that many of the directories have converted to paid, whilst others may no longer be directories.

    I have found the directory list very useful. Thanks Dan! I would like to submit to my blogs to some of the blog directories but am wondering what would be considered a web log. I have static blogs on a few of my sites and I am the only editor. I mainly write useful educational articles for tutors to use. Will this type of blog be accepted in the directories on this list? Does the amount of content contained within the blog count and what factors are used to determine if your blog will be added to the directory list?

    @chad walls: The consideration for what defines a web log is pretty broad. Basically anything where you are providing opinion content or information in a posting format, will suffice. If you are submitting blogs that are part of a website, be sure to submit the blog URL, as it is this that the directories are interested in. Educational blogs would definitely be accepted by blog directories. Both the amount and frequency of content are taken into consideration by directories to decide whether or not to include your blog. You might want to try the newer list of blog directories, as this list is now 14 months old.
